January Events in & around Cripple Creek, Florissant & Local Communities

The first week of the new year is over and we’re well into January. There isn’t a lot going on around the area this month, but that doesn’t mean there’s “nothing to do”. It’s still a great time of year to go for drives, enjoy the beauty of the area we live in, and spend time at Eleven Mile Canyon. Many of our local museums are still open, but be sure to check their hours. It’s also a good time to catch up on projects around your home and get organized.

dinnerIf you’re looking for something fun to do in the evenings, don’t forget about The Florissant Grange’s Thursday night potluck dinners and music by the Jammers. “Every Thursday  all year the Grange Hall is open from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for the Jammers Music and Pot Luck.  This is a GREAT night and THIS is a THE place to be on Thursday evenings. The music is always different depending on who and how manymusic musicians show up, but we always have fun, good food and dancing. All musicians are welcome to join in the Jam session and if you are not a musician, come for the social evening out to meet your community and enjoy and GREAT food.” The Grange has other activities throughout the year and is also available for rental at a very reasonable rate for parties, receptions, and other events.

If you know of other local events that you’d like us to include, just let us know and we’ll be happy to share them.
