It’s already February, but it sure doesn’t feel like it! We’ve really had a mild winter so far, which is good and bad. Nice that there haven’t been any blizzards yet, but we could certainly use some moisture!
There are a lot of things going on this month. Florissant, Guffey, Cripple Creek, and Victor all have activities going. Check them out below and then come and join in the fun!
Guffey Charter School – February 8th @ 5 p.m. Pie Palooza It’s a pie contest and a pie auction to benefit the school. It will be a fun time and you can bring a pie home with you!
Cripple Creek Ice Festival – February 9th-18th (weekends). Come join in the fun as see beautiful ice sculptures, ice slides, ice mazes, street vendors, the Art & Ice Fest at the Heritage Center, and more!
Butte Theater – February 10th – Frozen @ 6 p.m. No charge, but donations are accepted. February 17th – Ice Age – Licensed to Chill @ 6 p.m. No charge, but donations are accepted.
Florissant Fossil Beds – Various events during the month include Hikes for Health, Night Sky Program, Backyard Bird Count, and a Winter Poetry Walk. Click on blue link to view dates and times.
Gold Coin Club – Victor, Colorado – Meet the President, Teddy Roosevelt. Reception at noon, presentation at 1 p.m. Reservations are available online (click the blue link). Teddy talks about the preservation of our natural wonders and the use of the Antiquities Act.
The Florissant Grange – Every Wednesday night in Florissant from 6-9. Potluck dinner and music by the Jammers. Wednesdays are great nights for fun, food, fellowship, dancing, and music. Come and bring your family for a good time. If you play an instrument or sing, you can join in, too!
