Fire Resources

As most of you know, we’re in the middle of a large fire in Teller County as well as in other parts of our state. The fires have a lot of people and animals displaced and looking for resources. We have a huge amount of first responders/fire fighters/support staff working to take care of the fires and we also have many, many people volunteering their time to help people and pets/animals who have been evacuated.

My goal with this post is to give you information about as many resources as I have available for you at this time. Please note that I know this isn’t everything and I’d be happy to add any additional information that you have to this list. If you have resource information you’d like to add, you can contact me by replying to this post, e-mail @ or on our Facebook page @ cripplecreek.acehardware. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who is protecting our communities and helping with this.

Facebook pages with fire info (in no particular order): Teller County 411, High Chateau CR11 fire info page, Teller County Sheriff’s Office, Chateau Fire (official government page), Park County Sheriff’s Office, KKTV 11 News.

Both the Teller County 411 page and the High Chateau CR11 page have information for resources as they become available and also opportunities for volunteers and items that are needed in the community.

Websites for information: Teller County Sheriff, Teller County Regional Animal Shelter

Place to stay/park with your campers: Woodland Life Center in Woodland Park is opening their parking lot to people with campers. All of their light poles have electricity available.

Facebook pages for info about animals/livestock: TCRAS, Divide Feed, Colorado Horse Hay.

Animals/pets that are lost or found: Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS). They’re doing an amazing job of taking in and caring for these animals.                             phone: (719) 686-7707      address: 308 Weaverville Road, Divide, CO 80814

The Teller County Fairgrounds has also been taking in livestock. Contact them if you need help with that.

Thank you, again, to everyone who is helping with this.

Stay safe…
