Looking for something fun to do during the month of August? Cripple Creek and Victor have some great things going on! Check out these options:

Teller County Fair – It’s in full swing now in Cripple Creek! Animals, mutton busting, demolition derby, street dance, auction and more. Click the link to see a full schedule of events.

Barkin’ in the Creek – August 11th in Cripple Creek. offered by Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue. Kid and family friendly. Information about dogs, food, beer, music and activities for children.

Cabaret at the Butte – August 12th at 6 p.m. “Come out for an evening of fancy frivolity and fundraising! Watch the stupendous cast and crew of Mountain Repertory Theatre perform while enjoying drinks, food and a silent auction! All proceeds will benefit facilities development of The Butte Theater!”

Sunnyside Cemetery Walking Tour – August 11th & 25th in Victor. Learn a little history of an 1890’s cemetery and some of the local residents while taking this walking tour.

26th Annual Salute to American Veterans – August 17th-19th in Cripple Creek. Veterans, rally, POW/MIA ride and remembrance ceremony, Veteran’s Memorial Wall, beer garden, music, food, speakers, flyover, and much more. Cripple Creek Summer Smash and Fireworks – August 24th-25th. Bands, food, beer tent & fireworks.

Gem, Jewelry & Mineral Show – August 24th-26th at the Cripple Creek District Museum. Free event with special guests from the hit show “Prospectors”.

Butte Theater – Cripple Creek. Offering a variety of shows running all summer long. Enjoy great times with family and friends while relaxing in the comfort of the Butte!

Mysteries at the District Museum – Cripple Creek. Now through the end of September at the District Museum. Come for a fun time with the family and earn a chance of winning gold!

Bitcoin, Btc, Eth, Crypto, Mining, MineGold Mine Tours – Victor. Tours are daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. These tours are done by Newmont Mining and all proceeds benefit the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum. Visit and tour an active above ground gold mine. This tour is very informative. Reservations are highly suggested.

The Florissant Grange – Every Wednesday night in Florissant from 6-9. Potluck dinner and music by the Jammers. Wednesdays are great nights for fun, food, fellowship, dancing, and music. Come and bring your family for a good time. If you play an instrument or sing, you can join in, too!
