October Happenings!

The weather is beautiful and there are still a lot of fun activities happening in Cripple Creek, Victor, Florissant, and the Florissant Fossil Beds this month, so come and check them out!

Art Month in Cripple Creek – October is Art Month in Cripple Creek, so come and join in the fun! See the work of local artists, contribute your own work on a canvas in the park, and bring your children to try their talent at arts and crafts. Click the link for details!

 

Rocky Horror Picture Show – The Butte Theater in Cripple Creek is ready to keep you entertained this month with the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Fun, music, and completely entertaining. You won’t want to miss this! Reserve tickets today or get them at the door.

Stories at the Strong – October 6th, 11-3 in Victor. It’ll be a day of “tall tales and mining history”. Storytelling by local miners, mine history, surface plant tour, s’mores by the fire, lunch, and a fun time in general. Details by clicking the link.

Elk Bugling Hikes – October 5-7th & 13-14th at the Florissant Fossil Beds. Spend an evening listening to the amazing sound of elk bugling! These are 1-2 mile, reservation only hikes with a ranger, so be sure to call and make your reservation today.

Night Sky Program – October 12th from 7:30-10 p.m. at the Florissant Fossil Beds. Start with a presentation by a ranger and then enjoy star-gazing and telescope viewing in the night sky.

The Florissant Grange – Every Wednesday night in Florissant from 6-9. Potluck dinner and music by the Jammers. Wednesdays are great nights for fun, food, fellowship, dancing, and music. Come and bring your family for a good time. If you play an instrument or sing, you can join in, too!!
