We’ve been getting letters for Santa at both our Florissant and Cripple Creek stores since we put his mailbox up. We wanted to make sure there’s room for all of the letters, so we collected what was there a couple of days ago.
Just a reminder, we’re taking letters through Saturday, December 8th. We’re closing the store early that day so our employees can come and celebrate the holiday season together at our annual holiday party, so be sure to drop off any letters you want us to take to Santa before 3 p.m. on the 8th. We’ll hand deliver them to Santa at the North Pole on the 9th. All of the children who have letters should get a post card from the North Pole and Santa before Christmas. (Make sure that there’s a return address on their letters to assure that they get their post card.)
During the process of making sure the children have written return addresses on their letters and that Santa can clearly read them, we’ve also been reading and enjoying what they’ve put on their wish list for Santa. It’s certainly interesting, funny, and sometimes thought provoking. Just for fun, we’d like to share with you some of what the children are asking for.
(We should tell you that all of the kids say they’ve been “good” this year.)
For Christmas I would like: (a compilation of letters):
- More chickens
- Nail polish
- Stuffed animals
- Twisty Petz
- Toys for my dog
- Non Mega Swompert – I’d never heard of this character before.
- “Fire Red” Plush Pokemon
- Hulk gloves
- Video games
- Water gun
- Stuffed animals
- Something for my brother
- Magic the Gathering
- Eragorn – Another character I’d never heard of, as well and the next one on the list.
- Minecraft model
- Candy (no mint) – Love how this little girl is so specific! 🙂
- Kitten (black) – Same little girl who asked for the candy. She definitely knows exactly what she wants!
- Rescue Runt
- Stuffed cat & stuffed dog
- Fairy garden
- RZR rc
- Bounce off
- Toy airplane – This is the only thing this little boy wants. 🙂
Reading the letters to Santa reminds me of how exciting Christmas was when I was a child and also how much fun it was when I had children of my own. We hope it brings back some wonderful memories for you, too.
